Copper Bear Carneros Brut Cuvee
Carneros AVA
The Carneros Brut Cuvee is a blend of 80% Pinot Noir and 20% Chardonnay from our Carneros Vineyard. The wine is aged in tirage for over 5 years on its lees before being disgorged. The wine is finished with a unique blend of 2018, 2019, and 2021 dosage liqueurs to provide a clean, fresh, fruit driven style showcasing flavors of baked apple and peach with a touch of creamy weight on the palate.

2024 Copper Bear Napa Valley Rosé
Napa Valley AVA
The 2024 Rosé of Napa Valley comes from a blend of Rutherford and Oakville valley floor Bordeaux varieties that were fermented in stainless steel then aged in a mix of neutral oak and stainless steel barrels. The wine shows perfumed floral notes, along with peach and strawberry on the nose. On the palate, the wine is crisp and dry, with a structured midpalate reminiscent of a Bandol rosé, with soft layers and little tannin.

2023 Copper Bear Stagecoach Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

Stagecoach marks a first for Copper Bear as the only wine in my portfolio not sourced from Beckstoffer Vineyards. It was chosen to offer a striking contrast to the valley-floor sites that define the rest of the collection. Perched high on the volcanic slopes of Atlas Peak, Stagecoach’s shallow, rocky soils and harsh growing conditions yield tiny, thick-skinned berries with deeply concentrated flavors. The resulting Cabernet Sauvignon is dark and powerful, with pronounced mountain tannin, blackberry fruit, and a savory mineral note. Side-by-side with our valley-floor Beckstoffer wines, Stagecoach offers a fascinating study in texture, with broader, more assertive tannins built for the long haul.

2023 Copper Bear Beckstoffer Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

This release marks a milestone for Copper Bear and for Napa Valley: the very first proprietary Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard blend to bear the Beckstoffer name. It is sourced from select blocks across three of Beckstoffer’s historic vineyards. In the glass, the wine is generous yet refined, with layers of black cherry, cassis, and cocoa framed by supple tannins. It is the most approachable wine in our portfolio and offers an unprecedented chance to experience Beckstoffer pedigree at an accessible price.

Beckstoffer Georges III is the heart of Copper Bear Wines and my flagship expression of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. These rows in Blocks A1D and F were hand-selected for their perfect balance of power and elegance, rooted in the famed Cortina gravel loam that has defined Rutherford Cabernet for generations. The 2023 vintage delivers layers of dark fruit, cassis, and subtle baking spice, framed by fine-grained tannins and a long, graceful finish. It is my favorite Georges III wine I have ever made, a bottling that speaks of pedigree and place, offering both immediate pleasure and remarkable aging potential.

2023 Copper Bear Beckstoffer Missouri Hopper Cabernet Sauvignon

Missouri Hopper is a cornerstone of Oakville Cabernet history, and Block A is among its most prized parcels. Here, deep alluvial clay loam yields fruit of exceptional concentration and depth. The 2023 bottling is especially meaningful for me. It was my final pick of a long harvest, with incredible hang time that pushed the fruit to its absolute peak. The result is the inkiest, darkest wine I have ever made: saturated blackberry and black cherry flavors layered with graphite undertones and a muscular tannin frame that promises decades of evolution. Of the four wines in this release, it is the most powerful and tannin-driven, unapologetically bold and built for long-term cellaring. It is the kind of Cabernet that leaves your tongue and teeth stained deep purple, a fitting finale to the vintage.

2022 Copper Bear Beckstoffer Georges III Cabernet Sauvignon

The 2022 Beckstoffer Georges III Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon showcases layers of dark, concentrated fruit, with notes of blackberry and ripe plum dominating the profile. Plush, refined tannins offer a smooth and velvety texture. The wine is grown on Cortina gravel within Georges III’s most highly allocated vineyard block.
