Copper Bear is the passion project of Napa Valley Winemaker Jesse Giacomelli, a limited production winery handcrafting small lot Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon from some of the most prized vineyards in the world.

There are only a handful of grand cru vineyards in Napa Valley, and Jesse is incredibly fortunate to work with several of them. The ideal microclimates, precision viticulture, and gravelly loam soils provide the consummate expression of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. He is grateful for this opportunity and shares his experiences and winemaking ability through Copper Bear.

Copper Bear provides an annual exploration of several acclaimed Napa Valley AVAs, including Oakville, Rutherford, and St. Helena, producing just a handful of barrels per vintage. The resulting wines are powerful and lush, with softly textured tannins that will continue to mellow with age. Enjoy these wines with a steak dinner or allow to age for 20+ years in your cellar.

When he's not walking the vineyards for Copper Bear, Jesse is the full-time winemaker for Beckstoffer Vineyards in Rutherford, Napa Valley.
